Postpartum Counselling with Catherine Coombe

Support for Parents struggling with Postpartum Depression

My Approach

I am here to offer my support and experience to any parent or caregiver - because when a family grows, we all experience the growing pains. As a working mom of two with a husband and not enough hours in the day some days, I get parenthood on a visceral level. The struggle is real! We ALL need help. My kids are school age now, but those first few years especially are not for the weak of heart. Because of my own experiences, I have a special place in my heart for post-partum mental health. I’ve trained at Postpartum International. And I’m currently working towards my Perinatal Mental Health Certification.

When you're going through big changes in life, even when they are good, it can bring up a lot of mixed feelings. Speaking to a trained therapist may bring some clarity and peace during a chaotic time.

A big part of what I do is listen to what’s going on in your life, to shine a light on things that you may not have noticed before. While therapy is serious, I’m told I have a good sense of humour, and there is often warmth and laughter in sessions. I have no agenda, no strict treatment plan, my focus is on seeing how you are when you show up for therapy.

You care about your life, and if you’re willing to give therapy a try, I’m here for you. Please reach out if now feels like the right time. I’m accepting new clients and looking forward to hearing from you.
